Water cycles in the model
The EDS Water Management System offers an innovative and practice-oriented learning platform for understanding and managing the complex relationships and processes in water cycles. At the heart of this system is the simulation and analysis of water cycles, which are of central importance in many industrial and municipal applications. By simulating real-life scenarios in a practical way, the EDS Water Management System enables learners to deal intensively with the many different aspects of water management, such as water treatment, distribution and recycling. This includes the technical as well as the ecological and economic dimensions of water use and reuse. With a focus on water cycles, the system promotes a deep understanding of sustainable water resource management and the efficient use of this vital resource.
Learning content
EDS Water Management is a modular training system that presents the core processes of a water and wastewater treatment plant in the form of a water cycle from the source to the treatment plant and back.
Thanks to its industry-oriented design, EDS Water Management makes it possible to convey the principles behind the collection and extraction, transportation and treatment of (waste)water. It provides a compact introduction to measurement, control and regulation technology.
Practical tasks and experiments are used to analyze the individual process steps in more detail and show how changes in one area can affect the overall system. As the components of the learning system largely correspond to their real-life counterparts, carrying out the tasks is an exciting and authentic experience for the learner. Detailed documents with theoretical content also promote learning success.
A special focus is placed on understanding the system. To this end, it is possible to simulate different water consumption levels or a rain event in order to show the effects in the sewer system or an accident in the rainwater retention basin.
The system is designed to automatically add a dirt fraction. The dirt fraction must correspond to the behavior of sludge particles and be able to be fed back into the process after appropriate drying.
The basic system of the water cycle covers all the basics of water and wastewater treatment. Learn about the various steps required to treat wastewater in order to obtain clean water.

Further information
The basic water circuit system consists of all the necessary water supply and disposal stations, which also function independently of each other. When used in a control room, students first control the individual stations manually using a simulation box. The stations are then controlled and monitored via the control software using the EasyPorts supplied. A PC to which all four EasyPorts are connected controls the entire system. For perfect teaching, the workbooks with theory sections and exercise scenarios are perfectly matched to the stations and guarantee optimum lesson preparation. The components of the learning system reproduce real processes and make the exercises interesting and informative.
Structure
The system is divided into four stations, each of which can function on its own. The individual stations are designed as portable table models.
