We are planning an international training course in water technology in Stuttgart in cooperation with our partners and the chief expert Hilmar Tetsch.
Securing the future through education: Water technology needs bright minds.
Securing qualified specialists in the water industry is one of the greatest challenges of our time. The key lies in the targeted qualification of young people - and in awakening their enthusiasm for a professional field that is not only technically exciting, but also socially indispensable. An outstanding example of this is the WorldSkills initiative with the Water Technology skill. Here, the world of water treatment and wastewater technology is taught in a tangible, practical and future-oriented way. After all, water is life - and water technology is the way to ensure this life is sustainable.
The connection between water and energy is central to this: without energy there is no clean water, and without water there is no energy production. Being able to understand and shape this interaction makes water technology a key area for the future viability of our society.
Even those who do not want to or cannot participate in WorldSkills 2026 in Shanghai have the opportunity to take part in the DWA's Water Skills Competition atIFAT Munich from 04.05.2026 to 08.05.2026.
